Phedre Kushiel’s Dart
Liz as Phedre from the Midwinter Masque. We found really good underwear for her that barely showed (though it covered everything entirely) and made very safely sized pasties.
We looked at so many designs before coming up with this version of the dress, and I’m really glad we did. She looks very beautiful in it!
Her dress is silk gauze with little rhinestones glued on. The description in the book calls for a velvet collar, but I couldn’t manage to make it look as delicate as the rest of the costume, so we went with chain.
The tattoo is a different interpretation of her partially done marque than what is on the covers of the books. I was never entirely satisfied with the design on the cover, because I think for a tattoo that important, it would be more elaborate. Not entirely satisfied with what I made either, but it’s closer to what I picture…
